Our Programs

Literacy Connection helps people transform their lives by cultivating literacy skills that promote economic and social success. Our multigenerational and multidisciplinary programs are designed to address a wide variety of literacy needs.

Our youth program serves Henderson County students ages 11-18. The youth program provides both academic assistance and interactive journaling opportunities so students can meet educational and socioemotional goals.

Our adult literacy programs serve Henderson County and Transylvania County community members ages 18+ who are native English speakers as well as those who are learning English as a new language. Adults come to us to achieve a variety of educational and workplace/workforce goals that may include improving communication skills for job promotion, obtaining a high school equivalency certification, or obtaining U.S. citizenship.

We offer our services and materials for free.
